Hippies With Bells On.

I was recently on holiday in the South coast of Devon.

I used public transportation to travel there and back and the eight hour coach trip there was great, the flooded British countryside reminded me that mankind really needs to learn how to survive without Tesco and telly.

However the trip home was Marred by the short jump between Exeter and Bristol where I had a Hippy woman sitting opposite me.

Now I consider myself a Hippy so to speak. The holiday I went on I lived pretty much at one with nature by going for walks gorging on blackberries and Raspberries growing wild in the countryside, catching and cooking my own fish etc. And lets not forget I also am a huge Levellers fan.

Now this obvious stereotypical Hippy was wearing the traditional Eastern European influenced clothing. she had a guitar case nestled in front of her seat. fine.

Her rings. dear God her rings. her rings rang.
Each hand had a ring, each with three tiny bells on them.
She was reading and every shuffle and turn of the page resulted in a shrill ringing emitted from the most annoying machinations that human beings could make.

Hippies are supposed to be the massive but passive why does this individual feel that people need to notice you, and lets not forget she was an individual. Nothing better.

I have never felt the need to announce my presence in that way and have never met anything that isn't a household pet with that need either.

Luckily patience was a virtue and she exited the coach at Bristol before I ripped her fingers off.
